As people of faith, we acknowledge difficult situations that we are facing, but we also acknowledge that God is bigger than anything we could ever face. A person of faith knows who God is, they know His Word, and they stand on it. We need to be a church family who takes care of each other. We also need to kindly and boldly tell everyone around us about Jesus! At the beginning of the sermon, Pastor Andy and Alex perform a skit reminiscing on a security scare we had with a mystery box last year. No worries – there was not a real threat!

On the second Wednesday of every month, we dedicate the service to worship, prayer, and pressing into all that God has for us.

There is no sickness or disease where the perfect will of God is. We live in a sinful, fallen world, but through Jesus we can overcome anything the world throws at us. Jesus always brings healing and health. There is a balance between stewardship and faith. We should be responsible and take precautions, but we can always trust God to take care of us. Believers are never to be afraid: worry is the breeding ground for destruction.

We all have unique giftings and talents that we can contribute to our church families! God gave us our imaginations for good: so that we can picture all the amazing things He wants to do in our lives! God is constantly at work. We can rest because it is our job to trust God, not to make everything happen on our own. Jesus wants to spend time with us and walk with us on our faith journey. When we go on our own journey with God, we are filled with hope.

While both believers and unbelievers face trials, we will come through our issues victorious because Jesus is our help! The trials we experience are opportunities for us to grow closer to God. When we repent from our sins, through the blood of Jesus we are completely, totally forgiven. As we follow God, we are called to be holy in our behavior, thereby reflecting God’s character in our lives. It is our job to put down our flesh and choose to live according to God’s way. We will never experience victory if we are walking in the flesh.

Worry is just faith in the devil. We do not have to know how everything is going to work out as long as we trust that God has the plan! When we show people compassion and patience, we start to discover their God-given gifts and passions. Compassion can keep us from making giant mistakes. Hope is a powerful force. We have to act on our hope!

Every Christian is called to be courageous! Because we are children of God, fear has no place in our lives. Even when we face scary obstacles, we have to keep moving! As we continue to spend time in God’s Word and hide it in our hearts, our courage will grow. We can walk in boldness and confidence because God is greater than anything we could ever face and He promises to always be with us.

Satan uses lies to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus uses truth to set us free. Satan tries to make us question the Bible because, without it, we have nothing to stand on. Without the Word of God, we are blind, directionless, and the enemy can lead us astray. When we are exposed to the truth in God’s Word, we have to humbly receive it and allow it to change us. Satan aims to trick, deceive, and rob us of our God-given identity, but the truth we know and act on will set us free. We should always be ready to share the Gospel. Everyone, young and old, needs to hear about Jesus! The purpose of the Gospel is people. Faith journeys are about doing things you’ve never done before. It is okay to make some mistakes on your faith journey! We can have confidence when we walk by faith because we know God’s got us! Attached as a PDF are the slides Pastor Andy showed in his message.

When we become Christians, we transfer from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. We begin the journey of morphing into who God designed us to be. Because Christ lives in us, we have the incredible ability to reach other people for Jesus! Every believer has a calling on their life. Faith brings our hopes into reality. Faith is not just quoting Bible verse; it is about continually growing and developing in our relationship with God.

As we grow in our relationship with God, we are being transfigured into His glorious image. When people meet you, they should be able to see Jesus in you. Today we are celebrating the journeys of several people in our church family as they have morphed into who God made them to be. We have to continually keep growing in God, not just for our own sakes but for the sakes of all the people God wants to reach through us. We allow Christ to be formed in us so we can then share our faith with others.

It was such a pleasure to have apostle Mike Keyes from the Philippines come share with our church family again! He taught on our identity in Christ and the nine different ways that we are ambassadors for Christ.
