The conference is finally here. The boys discuss The PMC 2023 and talk about the speakers they are looking forward to listening to. David and Harrison talk about how they organise the conference and why they do it. The boys also talk about what has been good and what has been a challenge in 2023.

Leeann Tautari is the founder of Rent South, a small but growing Property Management start-up from the deep south city of Invercargill. She joins the boys for a chat a week out from The PMC 2023 where she is starring on the Startup panel. She talks to us about her journey in Property Management and what made her start her own company and we also get into the important topic of why people from Southland roll their r's!!

Working out of Hamilton, Nic Elliottyson is a successful BDM working for Lodge City Rentals whom have a large portfolio of properties in the Waikato. Nic's hospitality background has served her well in her career and she has made a smooth transition from Property Manager to Business Development. She catches up with the boys as they discuss all things new business in property management

Not many people would be brave enough to start a Property Management company, but imagine starting one when a Government introduces a policy that disincentives property investors. Homely has just celebrated its second birthday and the founder of Homely Property Management Villi Tosi joins us for a chat. Villi will be a panellist on at The PMC 2023 in Wellington in November. He talks about how he got started, the challenges he has faced and what the future holds.

David Faulkner said last week he would never talk about Methamphetamine again. That was until Miles Stratford of Safe & Healthy Homes Solutions challenged David who subsequently invited him onto the show for a robust debate as to what the standards should be around Methamphetamine contamination in rentals. Stratford rose to fame when the Meth pandemic was in full swing. He became the unofficial spokesperson for the Meth testing industry as the media-frenzied on stories about properties contaminated with Meth. In 2018, the Gluckman Report changed everything and the industry was dealt an almost terminal blow overnight. Miles joins us to argue the point that Gluckman got it wrong. Can he convince the boys that he is right and Sir Peter Gluckman was wrong?

It is over five years since the Gluckman Report blew away the shackles that were the debacle of testing for Methamphetamine across New Zealand. However, as a bill to change the law that will set definitive standards around safe levels languishes in Parliament, we still have no clear means that everyone works to. David Faulkner, Will Alexander and Harrison Vaughan discuss what needs to be done.

When a landlord engages a Property Management company and the landlord breaches the Residential Tenancies Act, who should be liable? David Faulkner and Will Alexander discuss a case that potentially has significant repercussions for the Property Management industry and what lessons can be learnt.
