Dr. SS Banya is a Sierra Leonean statesman who has worn many hats. From being foreign minister, founder of the Sierra Leone Conservation Society, to his witty newspaper columns, he has been a part of the Sierra Leone political landscape from his student days in the mid 1950's, through independence and all the various regimes that have followed Sierra Leone's independence.
