With today's political climate, Gabriella and Victoria decided to learn about two influential women in Politics. Learn with Victoria as Gabriella teaches everyone about Sanna Marin, one of the youngest leaders in the world  at 37 years old, The Prime Minister of Finland. It’s interesting how Gabriella even learned about Sanna Marin, we also learn why the Prime Minister believes Finland is one of the Happiest Nations in the World. While Gabriella went globally, Victoria stayed semi-Locally. Learn about one of Michigan's Senators, Senator Mallory McMorrow. Victoria explains who Mallory is and how she learned about her. Senetor McMorrow has been making stands for women and children and in this episode the ladies learn how. Victoria and Gabriella also touch on a few other polictical issues that are currently going on and they continue to strive to learn from the Inspiring Women they bring to the podcast! 

Hello all, in this episode the ladies of Women In Real Life reviewed the Netflix show Sex, Love and Goop. This show, from Gwyneth Paltrow, follows couples who are struggling with sexual dysfunction. The ladies, or maybe only one of them, was a little hesitant to watch the series. Listen as Gabriella & Victoria get into the nitty-gritty about communication and learn new therapy types and how they were pleasantly surprised by the real and genuine emotions and discoveries made in the show.  They discuss their favorite therapists from the show, how they related with the different couples showcased, and chat some of the new ideas they want to bring into their own romantic lives.

In this episode, the ladies of W.I.R.L. are reviewing an audiobook, Sugar Daddies by Jade West. We learn who loved it and who hated it and all the in-betweens. The ladies also discuss their likes and dislikes of audiobooks and physical books and they discuss some other favorite titles that may spark your interest. Who inspires you? In this episode, Gabriella and Victoria learn about and discuss two very inspiring women,  Barbara May Cameron and Nicola Adams. Both of these amazing women have so many achievements under their belts and both are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.  Learn with the ladies of W.I.R.L. about Barbara's many creations from amazing photos and films to the creation of GAI (Gay American Indians) a group to help support Native American Indians in the LGBTQ+ community, and Nicola Adams's incredible strives in the world of Women's Boxing, and how she gives back to both the boxing community and the LGBTQ+ community. Everywhere around us, we can find amazing inspirational women all we have to do is look and listen!

YA GIRLS ARE BACK!!! Well, it took the ladies of W.I.R.L a little bit to get back in to record but they did it. Catch up with Gabriella and Victoria with this episode and find out about some exciting new ventures the ladies are planning. The ladies of Women In Real Life have a great interview & pod session with their guest, Olivia. She also happens to be Gabriella’s sister-in-law. She is a colorist & stylist for Zano Salons. Olivia shares her journey to finding her passion and how it wasn’t the “traditional” path many take. The ladies get in to some fun stories, including hearing about Olivia’s craziest guest requests. Of course all three ladies get off topic from time to time and perhaps plans have been made to have Olivia come back on the pod for some different topics.

Definitely NOT the 1900s… In this random, free-thought episode, the ladies discuss so much of the fashion, music, movies, shows, and happenings of this time. Note: Victoria is dealing with an asthma episode, prevalent during the recording. This episode was recorded right before Victoria's Wedding Shower. She talks about all the decisions, details, and drama surrounding it. Gabriella chimes in with memories of her Wedding Shower, which was held on Cinco de Mayo. The ladies highlight the differences between the two showers: Victoria's is going to be held at a restaurant's banquet room and Gabriella's was hosted at her Aunt's house. The ladies of W.I.R.L. ventured over to downtown Glen Ellyn, Illinois for an afternoon of shopping and eating! Dining at A Toda Madre (tapas-style Mexican restaurant) was such a highlight. Victoria & Gabriella recommend their trio of guacamole (including one topped with fruit!) & trio of salsas. When you order tacos, they come 2 per order, so perfect for sharing & sampling! Gabriella's favorite is their ahi tuna tostada - she legit dreams about it. The gals stopped in at M&'Em's Boutique/Meredith Jayne which has clothing, home décor, and specialty gifts. Of course a stop at Good Roots was on the docket! This is a women-owned business W.I.R.L. has highlighted before and it's worth the trip to Glen Ellyn alone just to visit this moody, inspiring, welcoming storefront. Pick up a plant (& name it), a Turkish textile, or a uniquely scented candle. The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn was celebrating 'Small Town Bookstore Day' and the ladies each entered the contest. Tune in

#Spoilers!! In this episode, Gabriella and Victoria review the amazing female-directed and produced movie Birds Of Prey, fair and early warning there are a lot of spoilers in this episode. The lovely ladies talk about all the different characters and their opinions on the take of the film. They also discuss potential spin-offs that could be created and Victoria explodes with the excitement of the potential female-focused DC world. In this episode Victoria & Gabriella catch up after taking a summer hiatus from recording the pod. The ladies chat about the summers they had, and they were actually pretty different. Gabriella traveled with her husband Lucas and attended many weddings. Victoria spent time planning the wedding and all the details associated with it. She shares that some of her summer was sad. Of course, each woman made time for their furry family members and took them on walks, runs, or made Instagram Reels with them. All in all, the ladies are happy to be back behind the microphones bringing you new episodes dropping on Sundays. W.I.R.L. has some fun guests planned and is continuing to brainstorm topics. Real-life is hard and the lovely ladies struggle to get the ball rolling on an episode...  this week Gabriella and Victoria talk about FOOD! They touch on Gabriella's IBS and the Low FODMAP Diet, and Victoria's lactose intolerance, and how these food intolerances effect their daily lives. They chat about how the quality of food is more important than the cost, and also share what they are currently utilizing for keeping daily meal times interesting! 

This week's episode is dedicated to all the Moms out there!!! Gabriella and Victoria are dog moms but not yet human moms but they do have friends that have reached the stage in life. In this episode, the lovely ladies interview their friend Vanessa that not only dealt with Covid over the past year but did it while pregnant, gave birth, and is now raising her son Anthony during this pandemic. She talks about how she told her family and friends, she spills the beans about the worries she had with the Pandemic and the ups and downs she dealt with.  So settle in and get ready to hear all the tea. 

In this episode, Gabriella and Victoria *try* to review the Hulu/ Fox show 'Hysterical'. They get off topic pretty frequently and have a rough start, but hey -- they are real women in real life and started the episode with how their lives are going. They discuss the different women comedians and they discuss their view of comedy in general.  They touched on some sensitive subjects from a woman's point of view. They also list more female comedians they hope to see on more episodes of the show 'Hysterical'. 

Where has life gone?  In this episode the lovely ladies of WIRL, Gabriella and Victoria discuss their goals in life. They are hoping this motivates others to turn their dreams into goals and then into reality. They discuss their goals with the podcast and they discuss their individual goals that they want to accomplish. They do discuss the ups and downs of previous goals and the struggles they know they will face but they are putting it out into the world that they are women in real life that want their lives to be good and full of happiness.
