Whether you refer to the Spirit of God as the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost, we need to begin with approaching the Holy Spirit as a person. The Bible uses different images to describe the nature of the Holy Spirit that indicate various dynamics — In the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit descended “like a dove.” In Acts 2 the disciples encountered the Holy Spirit like “a mighty rushing wind” and descended upon them “as tongues of fire.” While these are mere descriptors attributed to the Holy Spirit, it’s important we understand that the Holy Spirit is a ‘WHO’, not a “WHAT.”In this first installment of the Temple series, Lead Pastor Adam Smallcombe begins to unpack the person of the Holy Spirit and how we as believers are carriers of the Holy Spirit.
