Sinopse

This morning I was reading a book that had a chapter on self-efficacy. In that chapter it talked about the 4 aspects of confidence. Under the second aspect, called Vicarious Learning, I realized where my grandma got her most used saying. My grandma would say, "If someone else has done it, you can do it too. If no one else has done it, you can be the first!" She said that to me MANY times throughout my life, mostly when I was little. When you're little, you just believe your grandma, why wouldn't you?! As I got older, I wondered where she got that quote, if anywhere. I think I figured it out. In the Vicarious Learning section of the book, I saw several quotes that could very well have been the inspiration for her most said quote. "If it's within someone's power to achieve something, know that it's within your power to achieve that thing." ~Marcus Aurelius "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right." - Henry Ford My grandma was an avid reader, but she wasn't so good on
