The book of Exodus is the story of Moses, Israel’s deliverer who liberated God’s people from their bondage in Egypt. Like Moses, Jesus is our deliverer. He can and will liberate us from all sins, individual and systemic, that oppresses our lives, our communities and our world!! As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we will consider Moses’ mom while we discuss Exodus 2:1-10 and learn how she became the deliverer of the deliverer. What is important to know is that because of this mother’s faith, not only was Israel’s deliverer born, but ours was, too! It is this type of faith we should all seek in our lives.
