Airway Update

Informações:

Sinopse

One of our quintessential roles as emergency physicians is managing and securing the emergent airway. This can be a life or death moment for the patient and often gets our own adrenaline pumping - it’s not a procedure we take lightly. Airway management in the ED can be complicated by physical and situational factors (beards, trauma, vomit), resource limitations, and our own emotional state. We sat down with emergency airway expert, Dr. Verena Schandera, to get the latest and greatest on airway management.  Have you had to manage a particularly difficult airway? Do you have any tips or tricks that have worked for you?
